maintenance advice
For the daily care of your Amoena breast prosthesis, we recommend gently cleaning it with Amoena Soft Cleanser, a mild soap, or a gentle liquid detergent. Then rinse the prosthesis thoroughly with clean water and pat it dry with a soft towel. Be aware that body lotion, powder, or natural body oils can leave a thin film on the inside.
Always handle your breast prosthesis with care. Avoid sharp or pointed objects such as pens, animal claws, nail files, or scissors, as these can damage the prosthesis. Lightweight silicone breast prostheses require extra caution: do not press on the prosthesis with your fingers or nails, just as you would not do with your skin.
Discoloration of the prosthesis does not affect its quality or functionality.
Be cautious of certain substances that can damage the film coating of the breast prosthesis. These include alcohols such as ethanol, propanol, or butanol, especially when combined with low-molecular substances like insect repellent (DEET) or sunscreen, as well as ethyl acetate, other esters, and acetone. Always wait until these substances are fully absorbed and wash your hands before touching the breast prosthesis. Disinfectants are safe to use.
For even more symmetry and a natural silhouette.
